  • Cover photo description:
  • Yehliu is located at Wanli of New Taipei City in Taiwan with a long cape. Because the rock layer of nearby seashore contains limestone subject to sea erosion, weathering and earth movements, Yehliu is full of seawater-eroded holes as well as numerous rocks in the shape of mushroom, candle, ginger, and chessboard. All these make this 1,700-meter-long cape a geology park with rich ecological resources and a prosperous fishing village. Here you can see about 180 rocks in the shape of mushroom, as a show window of their eroding process- from no-neck, broad-neck, to narrow-neck ones. Touring this area makes you feel like walking in a wonderland. Among them, the famous Queen`s Head demonstrates majestic elegance. It now becomes the landmark of Yehliu Geology Park.
