  • This photograph captures a selection of Bog Myrtle, Myrica gale, plants growing out of a dark peatland pond. The focus of this picture is a series of Bog Myrtle plants in the centre of the picture, with the rest of the plants in soft focus. We can see small, gentle ripples on the surface of the water on the pond. The whole atmosphere of this picture is mean and moody portraying their survival in this harsh environment. This was photographed at Forsinard which is part of the Flow Country of Sutherland in the Highlands of Scotland.
