This is an image Pink Manzanita Arctostaphylos Pringlei on a frigid winter morning after a night time snow. The white snow is fresh powdery and almost trackless. There are some oak leaves in the foreground that lead the eye up the hill to the Manzanita trees in the background. It is freezing cold but beautiful this morning. The mood is bright and pleasant due to the bright sunlight; which also creates interesting shadows on the snow. It makes one want to don their boots and go for a peaceful walk through the snowy Manzanita forest. The maroon red colored branches are covered in the yellow green leaves of the bush with little patches of snow. The plant`s name means little apple and it was a food source for the local native americans who lived in this area of the San Bernardino Mountains in Southern California.
