- Photo title: English Electric Type 1 at North Weald
- Author: Baggoid
- Cover photo description:
- British Rail Class 20 English Electric Type 1 Diesel-Electric, number D8001 at North Weald station. These locomotives are sometimes known as `Choppers` because of the helicopter-like sound they make under load. D8001 was built in the 1950s as a replacement for steam, hauling light mixed freight. This loco is a long-term visitor to Epping Ongar Railway - a Railway Preservation Trust in Essex, England - and now hauls vintage passenger coaches between Epping Forest and Ongar.
