  • Railway bridge over the River Kwai is located in Thailand, between the village of Ban Pong in Thailand and Thanbuzajjat in Burma. Its construction took place during the second world war. Construction led Japan to ensure the supply of goods to India and back by train. The work went through POWs and local Asian labourers in inhumane conditions during the year. Because of the difficulty many people have left their lives. It is believed that each sleeper on the railway bridge is witness to one or two deaths. In the year 1944, the bridge was reportedly bombed by Allied troops, three of his section were destroyed. Now the bridge on the River Kwai is a tourist attraction. In addition to the historical importance of this place travelers attracted by luxurious tropical nature that surrounds it. 28 November each year at the bridge over the River Kwai runs a grand festival in memory of mark bombed and killed in 1944 year. It includes extensive laser and musical show.
