  • Author: Peachpappa
  • Cover photo description:
  • Much of San Francisco`s hills rocks are Greywacke, a form of rock that was only recently understood. It is produced by underwater avalanches, causing different types of sediment to get all mixed together in unusual ways. The rippled patters on the rock is one of the characteristics. This is the top of Mt. Davidson, the highest natural point in San Francisco is 977 feet. This cross is dedicated to the memory of the 1,500,000 Armenian victims of genocide from 1915-1923. Because of the American constitutional separation of church and state, the land surrounding the cross was sold by the city to a private organization.
