Burned near Clear Lake area, causing evacuations. Caused closure of parts of Pacific Crest Trail. Though caused by lightening, a natural source, extreme high temperatures around the state, early snowmelt and climate change and global warming are creating regular and extreme fire seasons in the Pacific Northwest and Washington state.
