  • This is a Summer picture of the oil House on the Split Rock Lighthouse complex located in Beaver Bay Township, Minnesota in zlake County. The oil House was used to store kerosene for the beacon lamp and gasoline to power the fog signal. In the 1950’s electricity replaced the flammables and the oil house converted for use in storing paint and tools. This picture was taken on August 11, 2018.
