Cover photo info
- Photo title: The lizard in the front yard, 1.
- Author: Peachpappa
- Cover photo description:
- With over 6,000 types of lizards, from the giant Komodo dragon to the tiny geckos, they also have many different adaptations. Most are quadrupeds, although some are legless and look more like snakes. Being carnivore, most wait for their prey to come to them, instead of go and hunting them. If attacked, most lizards are able to detach their tail, which continues to wiggle, in an effort to distract the attacker. The tail grows back in a few weeks.
