In the southern Drôme they date mainly from the eighteenth or nineteenth century. They served as temporary shelters, sheepfolds, toolholds, barns or attics. Fragile heritage, these bories are threatened with extinction. Because by dint of not being used, thus maintained, the Bories collapse.
