- Cover photo description:
- One of the famous water conservancy projects in ancient China is located in Guanxian County, Sichuan Province. The project was built under the leadership of Li Bing and his son in the Qin Dynasty in 256 B.C. and was reconstructed in successive dynasties. The Department of Engineering diverted part of Minjiang River water to irrigation farmland in Chengdu Plain. In the past, the total irrigation area was more than 200,000 hectares, and now it has reached 460,000 hectares. In memory of Li Bing`s father and son, Erwang Temple was built on Qingcheng Mountain in Dujiangyan dam.
