  • Pictured is an information plaque on a bronze statue by sculptress Elly Baltus in 1988 of Jan Janse de Weltevree, a Dutch sailor and probably the first Dutchman to sail to Korea. His ship was stranded and he never left Korea, becoming an important government official and marrying a Korean Woman. His Korean name is Pak Yon and a replica of the statue is in Seoul Grand Park in Seoul, South Korea.
