  • Pictured is a relief representing Leonardo`s mastery of sculpture on the right side of the monument to Leonardo Da Vinci in Piazza della Scala Square, Milan, Italy. It depicts Leonardo showing Ludovico Sforza his sculpture of the “Sforza horse” never completed. The student on the right hand side is Giovanni Antonio Boltraffio, a pupil of Da Vinci and an Italian painter. The monument was sculpted by Pietro Magni and erected in 1872. At the foot of the pedestal stand his four favorite students. Reliefs depict some of the disciplines that da Vinci mastered: painting, sculpting, engineering and architecture.
