  • Abandoned Christian Orthodox Church in the village of Gribovo Kaluga region in Central Russia. In the forest, near the village of Gribovo, is the Church of the Kazan icon of the mother Of God. Brick two-altar Church with St. Nicholas chapel built in the style of classicism in 1824. There are several versions on whose funds the Church of our lady Of Kazan was built. On one - built it at the expense of local parishioners, according to another version - the temple was built by the local landowner Gruzdev. Near the Church there is a cemetery, the old-timers claim that it is even older than the Church. The main building, well preserved, heavily overgrown with young forest. The main entrance is framed by stone columns, the Windows are preserved wrought iron lattice handmade. Unfortunately, the dome of the three-tiered pillar-like bell tower has been lost. The refectory was completely destroyed. Partially preserved interior decoration, wall painting in fairly good condition. Closed in the late 1930s. Not valid until now.
