  • St John the Baptist Church on a sunny summers day as seen from within the walls of Stokesay Castle in Shropshire, England. Originally built c1150 as the castle`s chapel it was probably extended during the 13th century. Unfortunately in was extensively damaged during the English Civil War but was rebuilt in the mid 17th century although at lower levels, especially on the north side of the building, some Norman features still survive.
