- Photo title: First Flight Statue at Overbecks
- Author: Pjgibson
- Cover photo description:
- First Flight is by Dublin born sculptor Albert Bruce-Joy. It represents a young girl holding a nest of baby larks in her left hand. Looking across the Estuary at Salcombe we can see over the subtropical gardens of Overbeck House. This small hidden parities us just outside Salcombe. It was the sea side home of inventor Otto Overbrook. The house was a convalescent home during world war 2.
