- And so we visited Inverness and the famous historical site of Fort George. Built between 1796 and 1802, it is a well-preserved and quite unusual monument for a sketch. Considered to be the largest and most powerful fortress of Great Britain, and perhaps the whole of Europe, was not once attacked. Probably for this reason : Another curiosity associated with this place, is the ability to observe the dolphins, which liked this part of the bay. Unfortunately, we didn`t see them.
