Cover photo info
- Photo title: Cromlech de almendres entrance to monument
- Author: Thelegacyofthesoul
- Cover photo description:
- The areas of Extremadura Spain and Alentejo Portugal bring together a huge amount of megalithic archaeological sites between 5 and 6,000 years old. In the surroundings of the Alentejo capital of Évora alone, more than 150 megalithic monuments have been counted. The Almendres Cromlech is the complex of the so-called ‘megalithic’ of all of Europe – according to carbon dating 14 – and although it does not have much mega, it is a set of stones – similar to Carnac- but in circles of concentric stones.
