  • The Donzère suspension bridge is built just next to the old traille it replaces, between the town whose name it bears and that of Viviers, in the Donzère parade. The structure, approximately 300 m long, consists of three bays, each with approximately the same span approximately 96 m. On each bank, the bridge opens with a limestone bridgehead, in the shape of a monumental semicircular arch. The two median pylons, with double pillars, separating the spans are also masonry. They support the wire suspension cables four on each side. Hangers connect the suspension cables to the deck. The latter is metal-framed. Over a width of 5 m, it carries a wooden deck roadway now paved with asphalt lined with openwork metal railings.
