- Cover photo description:
- The Golden Lane official name Golden Lane at Daliborka Goldenes Gässchen in German at Prague Castle is located between the wall of its northern fortification and the old burgrave`s house. The houses built from the end of the 16th century into the wall niches were inhabited until World War II. The picturesque nature of the aisle was perceived as early as during the First Republic, and care is taken not to change the houses too much. At present there are galleries, original shops and exhibitions. The whole alley enjoys quite a lot of tourists, perhaps for its fairy-tale look of faded pastel tones, tiny windows and doors, low roofs and many chimneys.
