The ossuary a design by the architect Giovanni Greppi and the sculptor Giannino Castiglioni. The central body of the monument, where the mortal remains of 12615 Fallen are kept, of which 10332 unknown, consists of five concentric circles, each four meters high and circumscribed by a circular shelf ten wide.
