- Paulan Monastery - Nova Bystrice Czech Republic In the place of the later church were three springs, which gained the reputation of miraculous. In 1493 here built the first order Pauline order. In 1501, from which the first written mention comes, Kunrát z Krajka built a house `Sana cella` next to it. In 1507 a pilgrimage church was built. In 1533, the monastery was allegedly attacked by members of the Baptist sect, which killed 40 monks and burned the monastery and church. In the period after the White Mountain, Adam Pavel Slavata, Lord Bystřice, called again the religious in 1626 and had the church and monastery rebuilt according to the plans elaborated in 1668 by Italian architects Giovanni Domenico Orsi de Orsini and Francesco Caratti. Under the communist totalitarian regime, the monastery was severely devalued and neglected. Its premises were reportedly also used as warehouses. Today the church is being repaired.
