Cover photo info
- Photo title: Garden Pea plant, leaf and tendrils
- Author: Lindalombardo
- Cover photo description:
- Pisum sativum. The Garden Pea. It showed up in a front yard flower bed, growing where it wasn`t planted. My neighbor grows peas, so somehow, it found it`s way to my flower beds. Who am I to question nature`s plan? It`s one of nature`s oldest cultivated crops. The plant has a hollow trailing or climbing stem with tendrils and compound leaves with three pairs of leaflets. Sunlight illuminates the edges and veins of the leaves and tendrils. Pea pods mature in 18-21 days after the flower is pollinated.
