- Photo title: Impeller of Francis turbine in hydro unit
- Author: Gennady111
- Cover photo description:
- Water enters on impeller radially and leaves axially. During the flow water glides through runner blades. Blade have special shape, with one side for low pressure, and other side for high pressure, which gives impulse and lift force to rotate the impeller. Because of design of impeller it`s called mixed flow turbine. Runner connected to a generator via a shaft for producing the electricity. Impeller with a shaft installed in a spiral casing. Water enters in a spiral casing and then flows to the vanes inside of spiral casing and then goes to the impeller. Vanes regulates the flow so it help to produce so much energy that needs.
