- I remember a story that my father had told me in my childhood days, about King Solomon aka Suleimaan. The story goes like this: One day King Solomon was presiding over his court & he asked the wise men present all around, to invent him a sentence which should always be true & befitting in good times or bad. Several days passed in deep deliberation and from that churning of collective human thought manifested the following words: THIS TOO SHALL PASS. The more I had thought about the depth of this simple yet ethereal phrase, the more I have come to acknowledge & respect the wisdom of studying history. So, how does that story relate to this photograph? Well, the graves that you see here are of those kings who once ruled as Mughal emperors. But today, they lie in desolation, almost forgotten, much like the story of Ozymandias King Ramesses II of Egypt. If history teaches us anything, it is that everyone`s time comes & then passes away without fail.
