- Cucumbers thrive in India`s warm climate, and they grow prolifically.Cucumber makes your life rich . 120 days duration from seeding to harvest the cucumber produce greatest yield of 80-100 MT of fruits per acre . In green house cultivation the yield may even go upto 160 MT per acre and more important it starts producing yield in about 55-60 days after plating .Until the late Victorian period, many people in Britain believed that cucumbers were poisonous. Some people surmised that the poison resided mainly in the skin, but that some of it was in the flesh of the cucumber as well.Cucumbers are warm-season crops that don`t tolerate frost. In mild climates with long growing seasons, plant them outdoors between April and June. In very warm climates, plant cucumbers as early as February or March through July.Cucumbers contain magnesium, potassium, and vitamin K. These 3 nutrients are vital for the proper functioning of the cardiovascular system. In taking magnesium and potassium can lower down blood pressure. A regular intake of cucumber has been found to decrease bad cholesterol and blood sugar levels as well. But the dangerous bacteria are not confined to poultry and poultry products. A 2015 outbreak of Salmonella in cucumbers infected a total of 907 people in 40 states across the country. Over 200 people were hospitalized, and four deaths were attributed to the outbreak.
