- White-throated Rock Thrush scientific name: Monticola gularis is a small-sized rock thrush. Bisexuality. Diphtheria Rock Thrush is 17 cm to 19 cm in length and is of both sexes. Male birds: blue is limited to the flecks on the top of the head, nape and shoulders; the head is black, and the lower body is orange maroon. The difference from other sandbirds is that the throat is white. The difference from all other sandbirds except the blue-headed sandbird is the white wing pattern. Female bird: The difference from other female sandbirds is that the upper body has black scaly markings; the difference from the tiger spotted blackbird is smaller in size, white throat, light eyes first, and ears near black. Iris-brown; mouth-nearly black; feet-dark orange. The wings are black, while the belly is chestnut. The upper body of the young bird is dark brown or dark brown from the forehead to the upper tail, and is mixed with brown. The top of the head is spotted, and the back is formed with horizontal spots.
