  • Pictured is the monumental `Pteris Multifaba` sculpture in Leonhardt Lagoon in Fair Park, Dallas. The man-made lagoon was constructed with Works Progress Administration funds in 1936. The lagoon was named after philanthropist Dorothea Leonhardt and was built at the site of the Texas Centennial Exposition. It was redesigned and restored in 1986 by artist Pat Johanson.
