Cover photo info
- Photo title: Courtyard and part of the fortress wall 0156
- Author: Yarvegera
- Cover photo description:
- In the Middle Ages, one of the trade routes from China and other Asian countries to Europe passed along the Kura Valley. Dozens of fortresses were built along this path in Georgia. Unfortunately, most of these fortresses are now destroyed. Khertvisi fortress is relatively well preserved, despite the fact that all the internal structures near the fortress wall are destroyed, it is possible to imagine how they looked.
