  • Cover photo description:
  • Biflora is a slow-growing shrub of the genus Rhododendron, of the Ericaceae family, of the kingdom plantae, native to Japan, of tropical climates, with an average height between 50 and 70 cm. It is a long-lived plant, it can last between 30 or 40 years, if it is planted in a place where the soil is loose, with good drainage, aerated and away from the direct rays of the sun. Its stem is woody with many branches, totally covered with light green wedge-shaped leaves, when they are new, and with the passing of days they take on a dark green tone; of multi-petalled flowers in a pastel pink color with abundant flowering all year round. The pastel pink biflora with its exotic shape, is very rare and has the appearance of a magnolia flower, in its fine and delicate appearance. In my country, Colombia, we call double flower azaleas biflora, this variety of flower in pastel tones is difficult to achieve. Flowers have been closely linked to all stages of our lives; They are so beautiful, that without realizing it we choose them for all celebrations, business meetings, family gatherings, to send good wishes, to congratulate and keep them forever in our homes, as they improve our mood.
