  • A white marble statue of the Roman goddess Juno, it once graced the top of the Juno Fountain commissioned by Cosimo de Medici. The fountain is composed of nine sculptures that can be disassembled and moved. Created by sculptor Bartolomeo Ammannati, the fountain was completed around 1563 for installation in the Palazzo Vecchio. During its lifetime the Juno Fountain was moved and reassembled many times. Today all nine pieces have been reunited at the Museo Nazionale del Bargello in Florence, Italy.
