- Cover photo description:
- Forder Village and River Cornwall Forder Lake, near Saltash, Cornwall Saltash, which is on the Cornish side of the River Tamar, is one of those places which thousands of people pass every day yet relatively few actually know. Having crossed the Tamar Bridge on the A38 most visitors drive through the tunnel which passes under part of the town of Saltash. Yet all around the town there is beautiful countryside including steep-sided valleys and delightful creeks that flow into the River Lynher. This in turn joins the River Tamar on its way to the sea. Forder Lake is really a creek, and is just to the south of Saltash, with the tiny village of Forder straddling the creek while Trematon Castle overlooks it from a hilltop.
