  • The Gardener's House (presumably a soap house) was built at the beginning of the 19th century on the territory of the Watchtower yard as a soap house (bathhouse) for numerous employees and soldiers serving the Tsaritsyn park and greenhouses. The author of the project is unknown, but, presumably, this is a person from the circle of V.I. Bazhenov. In the 1840s, the building was adapted for the Volost government. In the 1930s, it was rebuilt and expanded. From the 1930s to the 1970s, the People's Court was located here, then various institutions, including in 1975 the Medical and Labor Dispensary. In the second half of the 1970s, the building was demolished. In 2006-2007, Stolichnoe Archaeological Bureau LLC conducted archaeological research, as a result of which the original foundations of the building were discovered, which is a rectangular volume with a half-rotunda on the eastern facade. According to the general plan of the village of Tsaritsyn, a new orchard was laid out near the Gardener's House at the beginning of the 19th century. Now, small groups of flowering ornamental shrubs (spirea, mock orange, lilac, hydrangea) are planted here, which are a worthy decoration of this territory.
