  • Cover photo description:
  • A cable ski track or teleski track is an installation with which a water skier is pulled forward as if with a kind of drag lift. Traditionally, water skiing is done by speedboat pulling. Cable skiing is started standing or sitting down from a slope. Cable ski runs are usually located in an inland waterway. The steel cable of a cable ski run, with a length between 600 and 1500 meters, forms a large loop and is mounted at a height of about eight meters above the water surface. The cable is attached to a number of large masts along the course. The cable is pulled by an electric motor. Here in the Zegerplas is a track with several ski jumps.
