  • The Town Hall Palace in Oradea is located in the northwestern part of the Central Square Unirii. It was built between 1902 and 1903 according to the plans of the architect Kalman Rimanoczy. The palace is located on the former site of the 18th century Catholic diocese. A special element is the asymmetry in the construction plan, the building combining eclectic and renaissance style. The building is provided in the part from CriÈ™ul Repede with a clock tower 50 m high.Oradea is a city in Romania, located in Crisana, a sub-region of Transylvania. Seat of the Bihor county, Oradea is one of the most important economic, social and cultural centers in the western part of Romania. The city is located in the north-west of the country, nestled between hills on the Crisana plain, on the banks of the river Crisul Repede, that divides the city into almost equal halves. Oradea is famous for its thermal springs. Oradea`s current architecture is a mix of Communist-era apartment buildings, mainly in the outer quarters, and beautiful historical buildings that are remnants of the era when the city was part of Austria-Hungary. In addition to many Baroque buildings, Oradea is remarkable for its particularly rich collection of Art Nouveau architecture. Oradea, Bihor county, Romania, Europe.
