- Author: Rauccigianni
- Cover photo description:
- The source of the stream is located in the Forni glacier, in the Ortles-Cevedale group. The watercourse runs through the Valfurva and flows from the left into the Adda river shortly after the town of Bormio, in Alta Valtellina. The riverbed is entirely included in the municipalities of Valfurva and Bormio, in the province of Sondrio. From Santa Caterina di Valfurva to Bormio it is bordered by the Provincial Road 29 of the Gavia Pass, formerly the State Road 300 which connects Bormio to Ponte di Legno, in the province of Brescia, through the Gavia Pass.
