- Detail of the upper section of the Pisa Baptistery of St. John, Battistero di San Giovanni, is a Roman Catholic ecclesiastical building in Piazza dei Miracoli Pisa, Tuscany, Italy. The name Piazza dei Miracoli was coined by the Italian writer and poet Gabriele d`Annunzio. In 1987, the whole square was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
