- The fairytale of the Magic Clock can be found in the Fairytale Forest of the Efteling. The story is about six king's sons who order a clock from a sorcerer. When the clock is ready after two years, the king's sons will not have enough money left to pay for the clock. The wizard sets out to try and sell the clock. Clever Toon is the wizard's servant and when the wizard is gone he goes to the king's sons. He tells them that they can take the clock for much less money and the king's sons go with him. However, they have forgotten the clapper of the clock and Smart Toon is going to get it. The wizard is meanwhile tired of walking and rests a bit. Then he sees Smart Toon with the clapper and decides to follow him. When he arrives at the castle he understands everything and he transforms the king's sons into stone statues who have to blow their trumpets every fifteen minutes. Smart Toon has to stay on the tower forever to ring the bell. In 1952 the magic clock was one of the ten first fairy tales of the Fairytale Forest in the Efteling. It is located in a corner of Herautenplein.
