  • The Metropolitan Garden was an integral part of the bishop`s residence; it was arranged under Metropolitan Jonah at the end of the 17th century, when the formation of the ensemble of the Rostov Kremlin was being completed. The Church of St. Gregory the Theologian is located on the territory of the former Grigoryevsky Monastery, now called the Metropolitan Garden of the Rostov Kremlin bishop`s court. In the 16th century, the chambers of the Grigorievsky monastery were located on the site of the church, which was abolished in the 17th century.
