- Photo title: 17th Century organ, New Cathedral of Salamanca, Spain
- Author: 2circles
- Cover photo description:
- Organ of the Gospel in the New Cathedral of the Spanish city of Salamanca. On the left side as one faces into the choir there is the Epistle organ and on the right a much larger organ with a double façade that speaks into the choir and out into the side aisle of the cathedral. This baroque organ has a much larger battery of horizontal trumpets that are splayed so as to send a much wider span of volleys against the heathen attackers and, of course, to embolden the Christian believers.
