- Photo title: The Newly Renovated and National Historic Site - Tulsa`s The Church Studio
- Author: FrankMannoPhotography
- Cover photo description:
- Woodstock and Wrecking Crew Legend, Leon Russell bought a church in the early 70s and converted it to a recording studio. The likes of George Harrison, Tom Petty, JJ Cale and so many others recorded there. After Leon sold it, over the years, the church fell into disrepair. However in 2016, Teresa Knox purchased it with a vow to restore it . Not only has it attained official Historical Status, but as of today, it is a fully restored recording studio and a monument to the late, great Leon Russel. It is now one of Tulsa`s main tourist attractions!
