- This is an Hylocichla mustelina thrush species, Turdidae family. Widely distributed across North America, wintering in Central America and southern Mexico. Common name: the wood thrush. The breast and belly are white with large dark brown spots on the breast, sides, and flanks. It has white eye rings and pink legs. I remember it was february. Observed at Cerro Cahuà Protected Biotope, near Maya Biosphere Reserve (MBR). Petén department, Guatemala.
