Cover photo info
- Photo title: St Mary`s The Virgin Episcopal Church San Francisco 6
- Author: Peachpappa
- Cover photo description:
- Frank Pixley, who owned the nearby but no longer standing mansion, donated the land for this, the St Mary`s The Virgin Episcopal Church, and despite being not just openly agnostic, but out right antagonistic towards all religions and clergy. It is possible his wife Amelia helped convince him. Either way, both sets of their ashes are supposed to still be in the crypt beneath the floor. One of the special, unique aspects of this church, old San Francisco had dozens of natural springs and streams. The last, free flowing spring can still be found in the church front courtyard. The plaque just off to the side of the fountain talks about the fountain, memorial to Tyrell Reading. As seen 16 November 2022.
