Cover photo info
- Photo title: Agua Azul and Misol-Ha waterfalls - azure cascades in Chiapas, Mexico
- Author: Diuna666
- Cover photo description:
- Attracts the eye after reaching the waterfalls of Agua Azul is the extremely intense, azure colour of the water. This colour is due to the high content of minerals, especially sodium carbonate and magnesium hydroxide. The name Agua Azul is fully justified, it is rare to meet such beautiful azure water. It is most intense during the dry season, i.e. from November to May-June. Cascades are sometimes very wide, sometimes they fight with natural obstacles, grab branches and drown trees. In full sun, they seem to be even more azure than an hour before. All the time, you can hear the intense sound of water, as if nature wanted to create a spectacle that soothes the senses and calms down.
