- Photo title: Abandoned Railroad Tracks in the Forest Nature Reclaims Railroad Tracks
- Author: Lindalombardo
- Cover photo description:
- Once a site for New York State Mental Hygiene facilities, it's been over 50 years since the property was abandoned for those purposes and given back to the state as a preservation trust. You can still see the old railroad tracks and ties, now over grown with mature trees. These tracks were probably used to bring supplies into the facilities, as far as I can determine. Lots of pitch pines and small deciduous trees.
