- Photo title: Inside view of citadel structure of Kangla fort, Manipur, Imphal
- Author: Fs6photography
- Cover photo description:
- The location is very nice. A museum and a temple inside the fort area are very attractive. Some main architectures were destroyed by the British. The replicas existing now, are well maintained. Attractive architectures are Statues of Kangla-shah, West gate of Fort, Original Sri Govindajee temple, and a Temple with an idol of Local God & Goddess. Walking inside the fort area is pleasant and you will find a helipad inside. The major landmarks in the growth of 'Kangla Fort' were constructed by King Khagemba. Khagemba constructed a brick wall at the western gate of 'Kangla Fort'. It appears that the art of brick making was acquired from the Chinese prisoners who were captured during the Chinese invasion of the eastern frontier of Manipur.
