It took a couple of hours to arrive to Palena( a province of Chili)from Argentina but for my surprise it has a beautiful beach in Santa Barbara, Chaiten, I fell in love with its sand and its colours, a french friend had told me about this black colour and it is because of the volcanos near the beach and it was true.I think we needed more time to discover its beauties but it was a rush trip. Santa Bárbara, also called Fandango Norte1 and Chaitén Norte,2 is a Chilean town located in the Chaitén commune, Los Lagos Region, 10 km north of the communal capital, and about 190 km from Puerto Montt. As of 2017, it has 205 inhabitants.
