- Photo title: Russell Warren House San Francisco 3
- Author: Peachpappa
- Cover photo description:
- This Italianate Victorian house is a grand example of post Gold Rush architecture for San Francisco, built 1875 by Russell Warren for use as his own personal house. Even at this time, the buildings lots already had width limits, and it was worked in perfectly. High and narrow doors and windows were used to match the shape of the house, with then stylishly high ceilings. Due to the fact that almost all of the residences of this type were East of Van Ness, which had most of the fire damage from the 1906 Earthquake and Fire, and this being on the West side, this is one of the few to have survived. As seen 1 February 2023.
