  • Rare event captured: moonrise exactly coinciding with a sunset, which only happens a couple of times per year. One only has 10 minutes to capture this kind of photograph, when the sky is not too bright and not too dark. The exposure used (5 seconds) is just right: a bit longer, and the moon would be blurred due to its apparent motion; a bit shorter, and the water would not be velvety smooth. A telephoto lens was used to make the moon appear large.
