- Author: Kordoz
- Cover photo description:
- The Evangelical Church in Rimavska Bana is a single-nave Romanesque-Gothic building with a polygonal termination of the presbytery and a projecting tower, dating back to around 1300. In 1415, it was expanded under Stibor of Stiborice, with an increase in the floor level of its interior. During this period, the building was also complemented with a portal to a simple, square sacristy and fresco paintings in the sanctuary.Around 1500, it was expanded again - with an extension of the nave towards the west, resulting in an increase in the church's capacity, and a change in the windows. From this period, the wall paintings on the southern facade of the nave likely date back as well.
